Really dysmorphic right now.

Postby harvester52 » Thu Jun 26, 2008 9:09 pm

I hate this body, and everything about it. I hate the way it feels, looks, etc. It's not me. It's not who or what I am meant to be, and it pisses me off beyond all reason. It's like... I can't go a single day without something coming up and reminding me that I'm in the wrong body. I spend an entire day with friends who are very respectful of my dysmorphia, and thus refer to me constantly as a combine, use machine-like adjectives in describing me, etc... and then one of them has to frequently slip up and call me 'she'. ARGH!!! -headerdesk.-

I am NOT A FEMALE! I am NOT A HUMAN BEING, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! Gah...

I hate gender. I hate human bodies. I want myself back. My big, mechanical genderless self. Is that too much to ask?

I feel the same way sometimes. But not because I am meant to be a machine. It is because I am just not comfortable about how it feels. It just does not feel right. That is why I like tight things like neoprene and other weird things I like how they feel because they make my body feel right.

I really wish people would understand dysmorphia and not try to change you back into what you are not. I wish people would figure out ways to make you comfortable, make you feel more combine'y and look more combine'y. I believe in adaptation of life for each person. I feel people with special needs should not be forced to fit into a place they can't fit into. Life needs to be adapted for us.

I can't believe someone calls you a she.

If only the world were like that, Alin. I wish people would start being more accepting and 'adapting' as you say. Most people are. My family is all very understanding about it, and as are many of my friends. It's just the annoying slip-ups that cause me to break down once in awhile.

hey, i can help fix harvester as well, tools and knowlage in mechanics here, and if stumped i could always look at www.deere.com website in support and parts section to see exploded views of combines.

me and alin will keep you in good great condition :)

me too is annoyed with people not understanding people with aspergers or other things like your having (not dysmorphic here) and misinterpeting things(due to how it was said or tone)
if its not broke, WHY fix it??

Disabilities: Neurologically dodgy!

Tourette syndrome with other general neurological abnormalities, including:
CAPD traits
Mild Asperger syndrome traits/NVLD/social-emotional processing difficulties/dyssemia
Tactile issues
Irritability (used to have rages)
Distractibility
Absent mindedness manifesting itself as short term/working memory problems
Organisational problems
Possible Harry Benjamin syndrome/dysmorphia
Hypodipsia
Synesthesia (associated type)?

All very mild though - just some dodgy circuitry!

Can someone mend me too? :(

I don't like this body.

I hope you don't mind if I ask - may I ask what pronouns you prefer?

Sorry :embarrassed:

Same as Harvester, I have gender dysphoria, only I call it Harry Benjamin syndrome. I mainly don't like how it looks and feels, not so much the social side of it anymore. I don't feel feminine and my body feels like it shouldn't be feminine so I know hoe Harvester feels :(
