My connection is simply crappy. The flash applet doesn't work here, but I could use the college WLan, which makes 28kb/s dialup appear desirable, but because of the faily WLan and since I need a landline anyways, I have DSL by a local ISP. For a few weeks, I enjoyed incredible 6 MB/s, then it had to be downgraded because the conenction became as stable as a pig on stilts. It's something like 4.5 MB/s now. At least it's better than the faily WLan at my parents' which is veeeeeery sporadically.

The person in our family, who has the best internet connection is my grandma. She has really fast DSL2. I can download Linux-CD-images within minutes. She however only uses it for mails and very occasionally the WWW. :wall:

Wireless pipe on Comcast. My wired connection WAY outdoes this.

Alin - My wireless pipe beats yours somehow!

Makes no sense. That says 4.24 Mbps, but the towers only go up to 3.6 :S

I win on wireless     :boogie:
