Happy noises?

Postby Ryano » Fri Mar 19, 2010 12:55 am

Perhaps it's just one of my slightly more stranger things about me or all people do it, or just AS/Autistic people. I am yet to see anyone else do it....

When I am amused about something, content, happy or excited about things - I make noises. Does anyone else do it?
I type my "happy noise" in to IM's/SMS/*Insert other method of written communication here* as "Nyaaaa~!"

I say "Nyaaaa~!" sometimes, other times I say "Kyuuuuu~!" or "Kyaaa~!"

I do this noise because sometimes I have trouble expressing my emotions with my facial expressions, so I make noises instead or in conjunction with my facial expression.

Anyone else do this? Please post your 'noises you make!

Oooh that sounds good. :P
I was starting to worry about myself being strange, especially now I am starting to fit in at TAFE (Sorta somewhere between High School and University/College) (TAFE = Technical And Further Education).

Hmmmm. Sometimes I flap my hands when excited and lost for expression. I make a noise too. Other times I flap my hands with frustration. I'm still coming to terms with how I express things! :S I've been alive for 19 1/4 years! I thought I knew myself....... I am changing though.

Oh well :P
"Kyuuuuu~!" :) ^_^

I don't do that myself, but to answer your question, it's an autism/Asperger's thing.

I wouldn't worry too much about fitting in. I've been happiest since I learned to just be myself and not worry about what others might think of me.
