Re: How do you feel about your disabilities?

Just how do those disabilities feel? topic They are a part of me, and I them, for the past 54+ years. We have been through a lot together. We are on good speaking/feeling terms. :boogie: At this stage, I would not trade any of it. I could never imagine myself as an NT, and i would therefore be alien...

The myth of the magic bullet topic

Just saw this.

I do not take any meds, but if I did, i would not expect a cure.

Meds should ease troublesome symptoms, like advil mitigating a headache.

I worry about these pills that promise the moon, and much are nothing more than snake oil.

Re: Emoticons, the picture cards to the modern autistic?

Thoroughly modern aspie topic

I love emoticons. I wish people in real life could be so animated, especially the hugs. :huggles:

I have always been verbal, but I have volunteered with those who are verbally challenged and i remember the cards.

Did you use them, Alin0s?

Somewhere out there topic

I am back, Alin0s. I was at another forum today, as someone there asked about me.

I had no idea I was that popular. I guess i get stuck at WP. Law of inertia, I guess.

Re: History of mental disorders

The disorderly mind I find it hard to be empathetic with people who think they are possessed by demons. Having never been schizophrenic, I simply cannot imagine it. The thought of Barack Obama urging me to do something nasty is patently absurd. I leave these paranoid people in the hands of those who...

I DO like your website, Alin0s, also known as you-know-who. I am not the greatest conversationalist, and I ...

Re: what religion are you?

I am not a religion topic I was just rereading a story with a religious theme (written twenty years ago) and it struck me that liberal views on organized religion are almost apologetic! What I mean by this is that the protagonist in the story seemed somewhat ashamed and even guilty that he visited h...
